Role and Responsibilities
The Creative Director position requires a deep understanding of the user experience and design around all consumer products (physical, virtual, environmental). We are looking for a profoundly engaged and experienced director to lead new creative and strategic thinking for design projects with interactive elements. The Creative Director will help set the direction, style, and methodology of the collective Tamooz design group and will also help set bar for quality and innovation in the office.
- For individual projects, the Creative Director will integrate clients’ business requirements into design strategies, interaction, and visual solutions.
- The Creative Director will also mentor, guide, and provide support for members of the design team, and be an advocate for the team and the Tamooz process
- Supervision of creative design in diverse and multidisciplinary projects
- Conceptual development of Tamooz solutions proposed to clients
- Subordinate to the CEO
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- The Creative Director should have deep experience and practical expertise in both Website design programs and Product User Interface (UX and UI savvy)
- A balanced understanding of strategy, usability, interaction, and visual design is a must
- Good understanding of business is necessary, and experience lecturing and writing about design is preferred.
- University / College design degree, MBA is an advantage
- Prior experience as the direct manager of a team of at least 4 subordinates
- Multi-tasking – Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time
- Creative and inventive
- Hands on experience with design software – Vector Works, Artlantis, Adobe Creative Suite
- Fast learner

- Communication Skills – written and oral. Ability to communicate with a variety of executives and their staff. Present ideas effectively to all audiences. Writing is clear, well organized, and to the point.
- Capable to find resourceful and reasonable solutions to immediate problems
- Problem Solving Skills – Correctly anticipates impact of actions on business outcomes. Comfortably handles uncertainty or ambiguity.
- Emotional Control – Open to solutions and answers from others. Makes good decisions under pressure.
